What we collect
When you create an account we store: your email (via Apple, Google, or Facebook sign-in), your sign-in provider, and a user id we generate.
When you add a pet we store: the pet's name, birth date, birth time and place (optional), species, breed, sex, and an avatar if you upload one. Pet birth data is the input to the astrology engine.
When you use the app we store: your moods and journal entries, daily check-ins, generated readings, in-app purchases (via Apple), wallet balance and ledger, and lightweight analytics events (page views, conversion events). Analytics is bound to your user id when you're signed in and stored anonymously otherwise.
If you grant push permission we store an APNs token with your user id so we can send the notifications you enabled.
If an error occurs the app may send a crash report to Sentry. We do not include your email in crash reports — only the user id.
What we do with it
Generate your readings, deliver the features you ask for, send notifications you opt into, measure conversion + retention so the product improves, and meet legal obligations.
We do not sell your data. We do not run third-party ad networks. We do not track you across other companies' apps or websites.
Who we share with
OpenAI: pet birth chart inputs are sent to generate reading content. No name, email, or device id is included in the prompt.
Supabase: hosts the database your data lives in.
RevenueCat: processes in-app purchase receipts from Apple.
Sentry: crash + error reports (no email).
Apple Push Notification service: delivers notifications you opted into.
Your rights
Delete your account: Profile → Delete account. Deletion cascades to every table that holds your data (purchases, readings, moods, journal, wallet, push tokens). RevenueCat retains receipts per Apple policy.
Export your data: contact support@astropet.app and we'll send a copy within 30 days (GDPR Art. 20).
Withdraw consent: revoke push permission in iOS Settings; sign out anywhere by tapping Sign out in Profile.
EU / UK residents: you have the rights under the GDPR (Articles 15–22). California residents: you have the rights under the CCPA. To exercise, contact support@astropet.app.
Children
Astropet is not directed at children under 13 (or 16 in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from them. If you believe a child has signed up, email support@astropet.app and we'll delete the account.
Astrology disclaimer
Astropet generates content based on astrological frameworks. It is for entertainment and self-reflection only. It is not a substitute for veterinary, medical, behavioral, or other professional advice.
Changes
If we change this policy we'll update the date above and, for material changes, notify you in the app before the change takes effect.
